The 120 X 64 X 11.7mm, 136 g HTC Incredible S is a pleasant addition in the HTC Android Smartphones range. The phone is available in Matte finish design giving a soft rubbery feel of black unibody plastic design with rounded smooth curves affirming a strong grip of the phone. The rear side of the phone presents a vacuum filled design, forming the internals of the device and overall succeeds in providing comfort with toughness paired with light weight.
The phone’s front features a 4 inch 480 X 800 WVGA Super LCD touchscreen which offers a crisp and sharp viewing and renders the use of onscreen keyboard easier to use but may require brightness setting when exposed to sunlight. The 1.3 MP front facing camera is situated above the screen and is available with many photo effects. Below the screen are four shortcut touch sensitive buttons (Home, Menu, Back and Search) which are backlit once the device is operated and simply disappear out of sight when left dormant. A 30mm speaker grill is also adorned above the screen in front of the device. An 8.0 MP camera with blindingly powerful Dual LED flash and great colourful shots and 720p HD video recording is placed alongside a 10mm speaker grill which is loud and is artistically placed at the rear of the device.
The HTC Incredible S sports a 1 GHz CPU processor with 1.1 GB internal memory of 768 MB of RAM. Micro SD supplies 8 GB of external memory and with considerable battery life the 1450mAh battery performs a fairly good job if heavy applications are not applied. The phone runs Android 2.2 with a promised update to 2.3 with HTC Sense 3 on top promising user interface friendly features.
