HTC Desire

htc desireJust a few months more than two years ago the Android platform for the mobile telephony entered the market. The first phone featuring this new and innovative operating system was Nexus One by HTC. The obvious reference to the replicant androids from the movie “Blade Runner” was more than intended. Namely, the new OS was supposed to be superior to all existing platforms, mimicking the storyline from the motion picture. If you like the HTC Desire and want a mobile phone contract for people with bad credit then be sure to take a look at our homepage as we have some excellent tips to get you approved.

While many would argue that it is not a case, the numbers speak for themselves. Android is the most popular platform for Smartphones and when a new model is introduced, aficionados and competition listen up and examine the newcomer, in this case the HTC Desire. Featuring Sony’s “Super LCD” touchscreen, this HD 720p capable super-phone offers the new 2.2 Android platform. The already well known integration with social networks and the lightning fast browser, but also the seamless integration with various email providers, most of all Gmail.

The HTC Desire has a minimum on buttons and a trackpad for navigation, besides the mentioned touchscreen. The operating system is very user friendly and, being open source, allows for uncountable releases of widgets and applications. Whatever you can think of, it is available, starting with the imdb.com widget over a space invaders clone to HD video editing software. Up to 32GB can the HTC Desire hold, by means of a microSD card, the RAM is whopping 512MB. Display is 3.7 inches in diameter, with an 800 x 480 pixel resolution. The browser has Java and Flash integrated, a headphone can be plugged straight into it, the five megapixel camera has also a LED flash and with an USB cable you not only can sync it with your PC and dump all your media both ways, you can access your phone’s internet connection with your computer by simply selecting that option.

With the questionable accolade to be “geekier than the iPhone”, HTC Desire, particularly the upcoming enhanced models S and HD, will help Android conquer even a larger market share.
